WHAT TO LOOK FOR IN A PERSONAL TRAINER

Your covid 15 has quickly morphed into covid 20. So now what do you do?

Most of us type into google search "personal trainers near me." and are bombarded with so many options and decisions paralysis sets in. Picking a trainer can be a very time-intensive and scary process. For one, choosing the wrong trainer can be an expensive mistake.

BEFORE YOU PICK A TRAINER DO THESE THREE THINGS.

1.Create clear defined fitness goals beyond weight

2.Create clear nutrition goals that you want your trainer to hold you accountable to.

3.Commit to working with a personal trainer for at least six weeks.

START WITH A GYM NEAR YOU

Working with a trainer is a huge commitment that must be worked into your busy schedule. Imagine that you have your bag packed, and you are scheduled to meet with your personal trainer after work. Around 2:00 pm your least favorite co-worker works your nerves. 5:30 comes around, and you head to your car and head to the gym. You merge on the highway, and the cars are parked on the freeway.

The last thing you want to deal with is traffic on the way to your training session. If you can't find a quality trainer nearby, look into early morning sessions.

What your trainer does with you in the first session tells a lot.

Good Personal Trainers
  1. Sits down with you and asks questions about you!

  2. Trainer inquires about your motivation, likes, and dislikes

  3. A trainer does a fitness assessment

Bad Personal Trainers
  1. Workouts you out on the first day

  2. Only talks about themselves and their client

  3. Has millions of selfies of themselves on Instagram
